Abstract

Studies in the college hookup scene regularly shows that it is highly gendered and heteronormative. Notwithstanding the substantial analysis on hookup traditions, discover limited facts on how lesbian, homosexual, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) youngsters navigate hookups on university campuses. However queer hookups possibly incorporate a place for college students to challenge the dominating escort Everett understandings of sex and sex that permeate the faculty hookup scene, promoting alternative visions for how hookups as well as other sexual relations may continue. Attracting on interviews with 24 LGBTQ college students at a regional university in southeastern usa, these studies investigates just how LGBTQ university students bargain the hookup scene on college or university campuses.
